1New (2) Raeann Salter, Founder and Owner of Minding My Books, specializes in helping small and mid-size business owners grow their company through consulting, training, and technology. Her mission is to provide software solutions so companies can make knowledgeable business decisions that will increase their profits.  Industry specialties include assisting retail stores, manufacturers, wholesalers, construction, and franchises with setup so that they are able to streamline their financial data. With over 15 years of accounting experience, Raeann has a knack for producing great retail and warehouse software solutions to meet any client situation. She and her team are skilled at troubleshooting client issues and finding ways to save owners time and money.

Based in Cheboygan, Michigan, Raeann supports all versions of QuickBooks Financial and Point of Sale software. Another area of expertise is Intuit Field Service Management for employers who need emergency dispatching software that integrates seamlessly with Intuit's Financial Software.

Specializing in retail and manufacturing businesses, Raeann also serves clients in the Plumbing, Heating, Restoration or any company who dispatches employees in the field.  

Prior to starting her own QuickBooks consulting business, Raeann worked for four years as an accountant in two public accounting firms and in industry for nine years. During this time, she became proficient on both the Creative Solutions and QuickBooks software. She is a member of the Sleeter Consultants Network.
Raeann earned an Associate’s degree in Accounting from St. Claire College, and has completed accounting courses at Central Michigan University. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Barry and two girls, Shae and Courtney, on their boat in beautiful Northern Michigan. 2 (1)


3New1Candace Papineau, Administrative Manager of Minding My Books, specializes in technology and business administration. Candace comes from a family of Entrepreneurs. Candace’s immediate family owns seven different businesses in a variety of industries, giving Candace a background in Entrepreneurship and how small and medium size businesses run. Candace understands the complexities and nuisances that being a business owner can bring, and has seen what it takes to solve those everyday issues.

Candace received her Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 2012. At U of M, Candace wrote several business plans, produced multiple feasibility studies and executed real life contract negotiations. In 2011, Candace volunteered 60 hours at the Flint Public Library preparing full and credit only taxes.

Through high school and college Candace worked as a server, acquiring many skills and learning the ins and outs of how restaurants operate over those eight years. As a server, Candace trained new employees on the point of sale system and the processes of the company. While working as a server, Candace also had an internship at Cantombrits Auto Transport as an Administrative Assistant. At Cantombrits, she used Quickbooks to do bookkeeping and payroll. Candace also did batch processing and delegated responsibilities for the employees along with filing and clerical work for the office.

In 2012, Candace was the Director of Technology for the Entrepreneurs Society of Michigan Flint. Candace is proficient in Method CRM, WordPress, Prezi, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Word. Candace is a creative problem solver and loves a challenge to overcome.
